JACK OF ALL TRADES. WANNABE COMEDIAN. FOUNDER OF PREVUE.
Hey, I’m Chy (pronounced “shy”). I build brands that people actually give a f*ck about.
I’ve spent years in the trenches across the entire creative spectrum. From high-end graphic design and branding to editing feature documentaries and operating cameras. I’ve worked alongside the heavy hitters like Warner Bros NZ, Great Southern Films, and Sweetshop to help producers build strong proposals to get films and TV shows funded.
Whether it’s a visual identity or a video campaign, I know what it takes to get an idea off the ground and onto a screen. Most brands are ignored because they look generic and sound unclear. Bysshe (“Bish”)
SLICK GUITARIST. JACKED. IDEAS MAN. OWNS 50% OF THE BIZ.
Bysshe has a personal training background that comes with an incredible ability to see through absolute bullshit. He’s the one at the helm of Prevue ensuring that we stay on the path.
Not only can he point out what’s wrong with your body (and brain), he’s also sharp with his wit that causes you to react like ‘oh damn’. Bysshe looks after our brand by writing copy, and strengthening our values and positioning. He’s exceptionally perceptive, strategic, intelligent and notices problems from afar. Outside of all of this, he’s a talented guitarist (one of the best in New Zealand) and enjoys composing delicious tunes for curious ears.
Alexandra
GRAPHIC DESIGNER. ARTIST. STOP-MOTION QUEEN.
We’re ridiculously lucky to have Alex on our team. She’s the undisputed queen of stop-motion animation — the kind that makes you stop scrolling and go, “holy shhh, that’s cool.”
Beyond her killer taste and next-level execution, Alex has this uncanny ability to turn even the vaguest idea into something that looks and feels spot-on. She gets it. Instantly. And she’ll make it look so good you’ll wonder why you ever tried doing it yourself. Outside of Prevue, she chips away at creative projects under the name ‘Severly’ where she executes various creative projects like a bawse.
Michael
PHOTOGRAPHER. CINEMATOGRAPHER. SURF WHISPERER. TECH NERD.
Michael is an absolute legend behind the camera. So much so, that’s he’s willing to break a few bones to get the right shot #throwback to the moonboot.
Michael is always working on a variety of creative projects locally and beyond. He has a great eye for capturing beautiful shots, and always goes above and beyond to hit the brief we give him. Whatever creative ideas we throw at him, he’s eager to jump in and bring it to life visually. Hawke’s Bay’s finest mate.
Sam
WRITER. DIRECTOR. VIDEO EDITOR. MASTER OF QUIRKY IDEAS.
We’re fans of quirky and out of the gate ideas. So when we found Sam tinkering away in the basement of the Masonic Hotel, we just knew we had to set some traps.
Sam is always thinking outside the box with ideas. Also, he’s great when it comes to video editing and storytelling. Outside of Prevue, Sam’s usually cooking up his own screenplays, animating sketches and producing short films, including the brilliantly titled Grateful Grapefruit.
